I have cigarette burns on my arm. There are 7 marks in total within a 3 inch square diameter. The area is quite raised because I have been sleeping on it...its on my front/side shoulder. It is really pink in appearance. I have been perscribed some Fucidin cream, which I started to apply. I want to be able to swim again without having to explain I burned myself. How can I get rid of/greatly diminish this burn/scar. Help plz! We use bio-oil here in nzstupid *** and insane you deserve scaruse some neosporin Keep using the fucidin. Since it's antibacterial it will virtually guarantee the burns won't get infected. That in itself will speed up the healing time and diminish the scarring.
In addition to the fucidin, wash the area with soap and warm water twice a day, and after you apply the fucidin make sure you bandage the area with nonstick gauze. If you don't cover it, all the cream will just rub off which would make it worthless.
Once the burns have completely healed-- no open sores, no scabs, nothing but scar tissue-- then you can start using a scar reducer such as mederma, bio-oil, prefer on, etc.
Burn scars take a while to fade, but they do. If you use scar creams they will fade faster but it will still take a couple months.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
