I am trying to create my own spells in Latin, using a translator.

Are you kidding me?your best bet is spell check.
lolreciting words in a language you don't know is not going to be effective, imho. the words create vibrations, and if you don't pronunce the words correctly, you will lose any advantage you might get from using a language that is invested with a lot of magical power. also, the catholic system of latin pronunciation is not the same as the classical. i suggest that you learn latin if you want to use it for spells. i would use classical latin for spells myself, but it's a damned hard language to learn.
i admire your awareness of the importance of language in spell-casting, tho. few modern pagans appreciate it, and the majority of the spells i see have grievous errors in rhythm.Here's one for ya!
