dont trap bacteria/food particles etc under it?If placed properly the filling material can last for a few days to weeks. Rinse out any visible food in the area the filling is to be placed. As for keeping out bacteria, they are too small. The filling material leaks and will only keep out large particles of food. It is really meant only to last for a couple of days until you can get into see your dentist. It will not cure the area. If there is decay in the tooth the temporary filling will not stop the decay and the decay will continue to get worse. This is only meant to be temporary. It usually only lasts a couple days. It will not keep out bacteria. It will only cover the larger hole so it is not as sensitive or to keep out big pieces of food. Bacteria will be in there no matter what because there is active decay going on. This will not stop until the decay is drilled out. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
