OBAMA/Biden 08~Sadaam Hussein did criticize Al Quaida and Osama Bid Laden before he died.
He never defended them, they never liked each other and didn't support one another. Between the two, Sadaam Hussein was far more pro American than Bin Laden.
By the way, did you know that Hussein means "Handsome One"?
